It is so easy to be drowned in digital waves in the century, so it is essential to make sure that you know how to do a digital detox.
Since I am a minimalist who loves digital detox, I would like to keep sharing some tips and knowledge about digital detox in this blog.
Being in the forest is amazing.
Let's take a look at why it is so.
I go to the forest for a digital detox
I am currently living in Umeå, Sweden and Sweden is famous for its beautiful forests and snow in winter.
Now in June, people here appreciate the short but beautiful summer in the Northern part of Sweden.
When my Swedish friend asked me to go to the forest to experience the Swedish summer, I was so excited to go there for the first time.
As well as the natural exploration experience, I thought it will be a good opportunity to find another way to do the digital detox.

Most likely, NO INTERNET
The good thing about going to the forest is that in addition to the fact that you can simply enjoy nature, you will be able to cut the Internet connection automatically.
The place where I went this time, Grössjöns Naturreservat in Östra Ersboda/Umeå, had no phone network coming into the forest which was absolutely nice.
To quit overusing the phone, the best way to start is to have a habit you literally do not touch your phone regardless of what happens.
I assume that most of the occasion that you want to pull out your phone is when you want to reach someone or you want to know how many likes you got on your timeline.
When you grab a bottle of tea or coffee in the forest and feel the air, and listen to the birds singing, you will feel that how many likes you have on your timeline is absolutely not the point that you focus on in your life.

Forget about the digital world, focus on the present moment
When I was in the forest, I could notice that I am a human being and I belong to nature as it should be.
I work with several clients online so I spend many hours in front of computers; then you may wonder "Why this guy can write so many posts about digital detox?"
Well, the answer is that I have been paying attention much more than other people because I know that I will spend most of the days in front of the computer if I do not try to stay away from it when unnecessary.
Thus, I have been a digital nomad and a person with digital detox habits at the same time for quite a long time.
