BURUNDI Gahahe from Costas of Sweden.

It is always such a pleasure that many people enjoy my blog articles, especially coffee-related posts.

This time I would like to introduce the coffee Beans from the Burundi Kayanza roasted by Costas of Sweden.

Burundi Kayanza Gahahe Red Bourbon

This is how I look right after I wake up. Sleepy face.

It has been a long time since I did not drink coffee from Burundi, so the last time I visited Costas of Sweden to buy some coffee beans, I wanted to buy something exciting and also from the African continent.

This coffee has very unique taste in terms of complexity.

Once you start drinking this coffee, you will enjoy the round aroma and the complexity of white grapes.

As you drink and the temperature goes down, you start sensing the rich thickness like honey and the juicy with hibiscus notes and strong white grapes expression.

How can I improve the sense of coffee taste?

You can do two things to enjoy the taste of coffee more than now.

The first thing you can do is understand the taste's structure.

Usually, it is said that there are several components in coffee to construct the layer of the coffee taste.

  1. Body
  2. Acidity
  3. Aroma
  4. Bitterness
  5. Aftertaste
(Information Resource: Components of coffee taste)

Every time you try to drink coffee, you can try to find those components from the coffee that you taste.

At the first stage, it is difficult to clarify what taste you are sensing by verbal expression, but as you practise more, it will be much easier to

The second thing you can do to practise the sense of coffee is to eat a lot of vegetables and fruits and drink other beverages.

I used to drink alcohol but I quit 3 years ago still, I have a memory of red wine, white wine, whiskey and so on.

(To State clearly, this article does not recommend you to drink alcohol.)

Drinking traditional tea from many countries also works when it comes to improving your sense of taste.

Also, to keep myself healthy I have a habit to eat quite an amount of fruits and vegetables, and each time I eat them, I try to remember what those ingredients taste like and this is something you can try easily if you do not have an allergy on these ingredients.

If you work on these 2 things, it will be way more fun when you drink coffee because you KNOW what you are drinking and how it tastes like.
