I live for coffee and my travel is always combined with coffee exploration.
Since Tampere has over 250,000 population now in 2023, I expected to see a lot of great coffee places.
Mokkamestarit Coffee and Tea Shop was a very interesting place.

Mokkamestarit Coffee and Tea Shop is located in the city centre area of Tampere, a 10 min walk from Tampere main Railway station, and it can be accessed quite easily from any part of the city.
Also, it was close to my accommodation "Dream Hostel & Hotel Tampere", so everything seems to be close enough to each other and this was great for the travellers like us with limited time resources.
This place is a delicacy shop rather than a cafe or coffee shop since its focus seems to sell coffee beans, tea, and other related equipment.
As you can see in the picture, this place has quite a lot of options in terms of quantity and roasting level, so many types of coffee lovers will find their own favourite beans from this place.
There are several types of original blended coffee, single origin with various ranges of roasting levels, so if you do not know what to purchase, you can always ask a kind and well-informed barista.
This time, I have bought 2 coffee beans: Tampere Sekoitus (Blend), and Kenya AA Top Kiamwangi (Single Origin).
The price wasn't surprisingly high.
The price range was from 45€-/kg, so like me purchasing 200g would cost only around 10€ which is the super customer-friendly price I think.
Since I did not bring my grinder from Japan to Sweden, I live in Sweden now by the way and still haven't bought it yet, I asked the barista to grind them for me.
You can tell them which brew equipment you use at your home and they will adjust the grind setting.
THEY ARE PROS.
One more nice thing about this coffee shop was that you can actually see and smell the coffee beans before your purchase.
You can ask the barista for the smell and they are happy to help you know more precisely before you decide.
